New Wireless Connection Between HP Printer and A Wireless (WIFI) Network

I have done several videos about HP printers connection on my Youtube channel, so I thought to write this down in order to help others

Here are the steps to connect an HP printer to a Wi-Fi network:

Step 1: Check the Requirements

Make sure your HP printer is compatible with Wi-Fi and has wireless network compatibility.

Check that your Wi-Fi network is working and has an active internet connection.

Obtain the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

Step 2: Prepare for Setup . Turn on your HP printer and make sure it is connected to the power source.

Press the Wireless button on your printer’s control panel to access the Wireless Menu.

On the printer Press and hold the wireless button and cancel button for 3 seconds. The power light will blink for a few seconds and then the printer will be in setup mode (the wireless light will continue to blink until the printer is connected.

Open a web browser and visit 123.hp.com/ printer name to install the HP Software and Follow the instruction.Or

Download and install the latest version of the HP printer software from the official website.

Follow the installation instructions and Select a WIFI connection for a new printer when prompted

Step 3: Connect to the Wi-Fi Network

In the Wireless Menu, select the “Setup Wizard” option.

Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks and enter the Wi-Fi network password when prompted.

Allow the software to detect and connect to your printer.

After the printer is connected successfully the wireless light stops blinking and stays on

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection setup.

Step 5: Test the Connection

Print a test page to confirm that your printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network and functioning properly.

Congratulations! Your HP printer is now connected to your Wi-Fi network and ready to use.

Note: If your HP printer has a touchscreen display, you may be able to connect it to Wi-Fi directly from the printer without using a computer. However, if your printer doesn’t have a touchscreen display, you may need to use a computer or mobile device to connect it to Wi-Fi using the steps above.

HP Printer New Wireless Connection method  with HP Smart app on your Phone

1. Power your printer by connecting the power cord to the printer and plugging it into the socket.
2. Once on, bring out your mobile phone.
3. Go to Playstore and download the HP Smart App. to your mobile phone.
4. Once downloaded, click the App open.
5. On the default page of the App locate and click on the plus (+) sign.
6. Once done, choose the type of printer to add to HP smart app
7. We want to set up a new printer so click on get started.
8. Select how you want to set up the printer (click on WIFI wireless network)
9. Click continue.
10. After that, you can then turn on your printer as indicated on the Smart app.
11. If you have done that, click on continue
12. Now Smart app will automatically search for the available printer.
13. Once found click on the printer (example Deskjet 2620)
14. Input the WIFI logins on the required field on your HP Smart app. (WIFI details are normally at the back of the router).
15. Once done click on continue, and then turn on Bluetooth as requested.
16. Once the printer is found, it will prepare the printer automatically.
17. Click on allow on your printer.
18. Printer will automatically obtain an IP address.
19. Once obtained, it will automatically be connected to a WIFI network.
20. To verify if it has been connected, check on your printer, you would notice that the blue light is steady and no longer flashing.
