A lot of people have complained about having problem with their printer that their printer is not showing up or showing as unspecified when you want to print from your computer there are few things you could do which I want to share with you.
- Go to window button type in control panel
- Open new control panel
- Click on the option that say Bluetooth devices
- Then scroll down to printers and scanners
- You would see you unspecified printer and all the printer on the list then click add a printer
- Choose the printer or the device you want to add to the PC or
- Choose the printer that I want isn’t listed
- Then choose the last option add a local printer or network printer with manual settings click the next button
- Add a porter choose printer port
- Select use the existing port scroll down look for the option that say USB and click on that and click next
- Install the printer driver it would show you the list of manufacturer and printer models
- Click on window update to show you the manufacturer and most recent update. You need to exercise patient for window to update.
- For example, if you click on HP, you will then select on the right the particular printer model on the list to get the driver software. Once you select the printer model click on next to proceed.
- If you printer is not on the list, select the closest upper model on the list and it would ask you which version of the driver you want to install.
- Select use the driver that is currently installed (Recommended) then click next
- If your printer is HP 2710 you could find it you can change the model number to next upper model like HP 2720e on the search bar, then click next
- It would say installing driver and it would ask you about sharing
- Select do not share this printer on the network CLICK next
If you follow the instruction correctly it would say your printer have been successfully installed.
- Next print the test page to see if it works
- Then click close and you would see that the printer is automatically on the list of printers on your computer and marked green. Just to say that it would still show you one unspecified device but ignore that and it will work.
- Go to Microsoft word and check the list of printers available and you would see that it automatically found the printer. This is exactly what I did maybe it work for you may be not. Comment, like , share and subscribe.
