HOW TO SET UP WI-FI NETWORK FOR HP 107W PRINTER: Original HP manuals are just a nightmare and a lot of people struggle to connect this printer to WIFI network, this is the reason I thought to write this down to help others as well as watching the video on my Youtube channel Vinneltv would help.
HOW TO SET UP WI-FI NETWORK FOR HP 107W PRINTER
1. Download HP Smart app for your Android (Google Play)
2. Power on a printer HP 107w
3. On your phone go to your Wi-Fi settings
4. Search for HP-Setup<D0>Laser 107w
5. Connect to this ad hoc printer Wi-Fi network
Ā 6. Open HP Smart app on your phone
7. Tap “+” button in the left right corner
8. Tap “Add printer” button down at the bottom of the screen (don’t tap the name of your printer yet although is shown on the top)
Ā 9. “Searching for printers” message will show -> do not interrupt
10. Tap “Printer Not Listed?” button
11. Tap “Find printerā.
12. Grey dialog box will open with the name of your printer (HP-Setup<D0>Laser 107w) -> tap on it.
13. Now “Let’s set up this printer” page will be shown
14. Click ” Continue” button
Ā 15. Select your Wi-Fi network and type in your Wi-Fi password
16. Tap “Continueā.
17. Automatic connection page will setup your printer and connect printer to your Wi-Fi – but please be patient…for me it took more than 30 seconds to complete whole process
18. Tap “Continue” button
19. Checking printer status page will be displayed for few seconds
Ā 20. Tap “Accept all” or “Manage option” when Connected printing services page will be shown (base on your preferences)
21. Finally tap “Print a Document” or “Skip Printing Page” as you wish
22. In my case I had one more page “HP Print Plugin is missing” with options “Not now” or “Continue” button. I chosed continue and it redirected me to Google Play for download the plugin.
23. I installed plugin and finally I was able to print from my phone š
Wi-Fi setup for already used HP 107w (e.g., setup in case your router password has been changed): – Power on your HP 107w printer.
– On your HP printer hold down Wi-Fi button for at least 20 seconds until power button will start to blink to reset all Wi-Fi setting stored in your printer
Ā – In HP Smart app in your phone tap and hold your printerās name and choose “Forget This Printerā.
– Continue with all steps again from procedure above from the step
Hopefully it will help others as well as I spent hours with this Wi-Fi setup to come to the end of this procedure.
