Types of Cerelac

Cerelac is available in large quantities of immediate seed seeds.  These are made according to the age of the child:

Level 1 (6 months and up): Introduced for 6-month-olds, available in three basic variants: Cerelac wheat, rice and corn.  Any of these variations can be given to the baby as the first meal.  These plant extracts do not contain gelatine and are easily digestible.

Stage 2 (8 months and up): Available in two variants: banana and honey.

Stage 3 (10 months and up): This feature contains pieces of real fruit of different textures and flavors for children who have developed the ability to eat.

Stage 4 (months 12-18): The children are now ready to taste the food the family is eating and then can show up with many options.  Some of the options available in this range are multigrain and fruit, multigrain and legumes, multigrain and vegetables.

Stage 5 (months 18-24): At this stage, the product contains fruits in organized forms as children can eat the food they are now given.

Note: Almost all cerelac varieties have milk skim as ingredients.  If your child is not lactose intolerant, consult your doctor.  Varieties of Cerelac include wheat flour in as the main ingredient.  If your child is allergic to wheat or has a gluten allergy, talk to your doctor before giving wheat supplements.

When Can Children Start Cerelac?

World Health Organization (WHO) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby’s life.  The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends introducing strong foods during the 4-6 months of age. Gag reflex, which occurs in infants, develops well at 5 months.  But if this discharge develops earlier, under the direction of a pediatrician, the onset may begin before six months, as long as the following developmental signs are met:

  1. The baby can keep the neck straight without support and has proper neck control.
  2.  The baby may sit with little or no support.
  3.  The baby opens its mouth wide and continues to eat.

If your baby shows signs of preparation, feel free to see a pediatrician and start supplementation like Cerelac before six months, but no earlier than four months.

Even after introducing solid foods, you should continue breastfeeding for more than a year or more.

Why you shouldn’t start cerelac early?

You can decide the right time to start drinks under the supervision of a pediatrician.  But it is best to avoid starting strong diets before the age of four months for the following reasons: There is a risk of drinking as the gag reflex is still underdeveloped. The initial intake of organic foods reduces the frequency of breastfeeding.  This can lead to small iron stores in infants, as the excess iron contained in breast milk is replaced by extra iron from the feed system.

  1.    Nutritional problems can arise as the baby’s digestive system grows.
  2.     Changes in the gut microbiota can cause some health problems.
  3.     It can lead to overeating, which can lead to weight gain.
  4.     The risk of allergies comes as an undeveloped immune system.

Changes in the gastrointestinal microbiota of children at an early age can have effects in childhood and adulthood.  Therefore, the age of the child should always be taken into consideration when planning to start eating solid foods.

If Cerelac is introduced at the right time, it may have benefits.

Advantages of Cerelac

Cerelac is an instant or ready-to-eat baby food to support the nutritional needs of a growing child.  Parents and guardians purchase for the following reasons:

  1.     Easy to find
  2.     Immediate preparation
  3.     Friendly
  4.     Without preservatives, dyes or additives added.

But most importantly, semi-solid consistency, like porridge, is easy for a child to carry.  In addition, its basic nutrients such as rice are low on the baby’s digestive system, which has not yet matured. From a food perspective, it is created to be as healthy as possible.  Contains 18 essential nutrients and probiotic Bifidus BL, which supports the natural defenses of the baby by being vaccinated.  It also contains protein, Omega-3 (EPA and DHA) and omega-6, vitamins A and E, folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12, among others.

With these outstanding benefits, Cerelac has found its way into baby food for years.  But is Cerelac perfect that you can rely on immediately?  Well, everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and so does Cerelac.

Disadvantages of Cerelac

Cerelac has a rich nutritional profile, but also has some weaknesses. It contains fruit juice which may not be a healthy addition to a baby’s diet.  Fruit juice concentrations are achieved by reducing the amount of water in the fruit juice, thus concentrating the juice.  This process can cause loss of water-soluble vitamins and minerals.  Therefore, adding fresh fruit is the best option. Only children who are given cerelac and not home-grown food may develop an allergy to home-grown food.

Gluten and lactose in Cerelac can be overlooked and can lead to allergic reactions.

The only variants available for children eight months and older are glucose and maltodextrin, which is a type of sugar.  This supplement is not as important as the baby already receiving sugar from other Cerelac ingredients.  Addition of glucose and maltodextrin sugar can lead to increased sugar intake.  High sugar intake by children can lead to health problems such as childhood obesity and tooth dec

How to feed Cerelac for the first time?

Giving your baby something other than breast milk (or formula) for the first time can be a daunting experience, especially for new parents.  These tips and tricks can help.

  1.     Do not start giving when the baby is tired or in a bad mood.
  2.     Be calm and relaxed.  Your baby should be comforted when you feed him.
  3.     Keep the feeding area warm, friendly and comfortable because setting feeding rules early is useless.
  4.     Make sure your child is sitting comfortably complete with little or no support.
  5.     Make sure your baby does not starve too much when you start breastfeeding.
  6.     Be patient.  Your child may get a spoon at first, but this will increase with time and exercise.
  7.     Prepare for disaster; all children will do this until they learn the basics of eating.
  8.     Be careful when feeding your baby to avoid accidents such as shaking.
  9.     Introduce a new meal at a time.  Maintain an average of 3-5 days before starting any new diet.
  10.     Serve the meal with a teaspoon.  You can buy a baby-sized spoon for this purpose.
  11.     Place the spoon close to your baby’s lips.
  12.     If your child learns the first time, try again the next day.
