Mode of operation:
The printer uses either:
- WI-FI Wireless connection (check how to connect WI-FI on previous post).
- USB cable connection.
Buttons:
- Button 1: Cancel button (if you select a job, and changed your mind mind, you can cancel.)
- Button 2: copy button
- Button 3: On and Off button.
- Button 4: The button you use to increase the numbers of documents you want.
- Button 5: Wi-Fi button.
- Button 6: Scan button
- Button 7: Button to increase the quality of the document you want to copy, scan or print.
How to scan, copy, print and share digitally
We will be discussing on how we can quickly scan, copy and print and also share digitally from your mobile phone to your printer.
Before you begin locate the power cable and input in from the back of the printer. And above you will see the USB cable spot (USB cable available at Vinnel tech store).
If your printer is connected to a WI-FI network, you don’t need to connect it with an USB cable again.
Now let’s begin to Scan.
- Stick your document to the scanner and close.
- Select functions from app (HP smart app) in mobile device or use printer buttons.
some of the functions you can find on the hp smart app are:
- Get supply
- Print table
- Shortcut
- Mobile text
- Camera scan
- Help and support
- Print photos
- Print documents
- Printer scanner
- Copy
- Click on printer scanner
- After clicking, you can pre-scan/ preview if you are okay with the document go ahead, if not crop
- Click on the preview on your mobile device and it will fetch the preview.
- If preview is okay for you click on scan (from your mobile device).
- The preview is colored but the print out will be black because the laser is black ink
- You can scan another document by sticking it to the scanner after removing the previous and click on add (from mobile device).
- Click print. You need to select the correct printer from the list and send the document you scanned to the printer, If you want to print out. (documents start processing printer)
- Scanned document will come out from the printer layer.
- If you want to share the document click share. It changes to PDF.
- You can share to colleagues email account and boom, it deliver. Very fast.
