CONNECTING THE PRINTER TO WI FI WIRELESS NETWORK:
The printer can be operated in two ways (you can connect using USB cable to your PC and also WI-FI wireless network).
- Connect the power cable to the socket.
- You can also connect the printer using USB cable or WI-FI.
- Load the paper tray.
And you are ready to go.
What I want to discuss now, is how to connect this printer to work with Wi-Fi wireless network.
For this printer to work on Wi-Fi network, you can follow these simple self-steps:
Note: If you connect the printer to Wi Fi wireless network, you don’t need to connect with USB cable again.
HOW TO CONNECT THE PRINTER WITH WI-FI NETWORK?
- Get your mobile device.
- Make sure you are connect to WIFI on your mobile phone and Off your mobile data network to avoid interference
- Go to play store on your mobile device (for new beginners).
- Search for HP smart app and download (if already installed on your mobile phone, just open).
- Open app from your mobile device (after installing).
- Turn location on
- Locate and click on the plus (+) sign or “add printing”.
- App searches and show available printer (click +).
- Locate the printer (HP MFP M179 FNW laser jet).
- Connect printer to WI-FI network. (Putting in the Wi-Fi details that is WI-FI password).
- Click continue.
- App automatically searches the printer.
- Once found it will automatically prepare the printer.
- Click connect anyway (when showing WI-FI network has no internet connection).
- Printer prepared
- Finally, printer connected to Wi-Fi network Ip address obtained (Blue light becomes steady no longer flashing).
- Click continue (while app connects to HP service)
- You can choose to create account with HP services for automatic warranty.
- Finally, setup complete. You can follow the video instruction as well.
